Everything I Baked in June 2026

As I have done the last couple of months, this is a recap of everything I baked in the previous month, both for posting on the blog and for my own personal baking. I feel like I did not bake as much this month, but I love being able to go back and see everything I made. I hope you enjoy seeing all of the goodies I make, as well 🙂 As always, if there is anything I share in the recap that doesn’t already have a recipe posted, let me know so I can post it for you!

1. Texas Sheet Cake

My first post of the month was this Texas Sheet Cake. Find the recipe here. As I wrote in the post, I wasn’t a fan of this cake when I was a kid, but I really like it now. It is rich and moist, but not too over the top. It’s also a great dessert when you need to make something for a lot of people. This will definitely be a go-to for me.

2. Lemon Loaf (Starbucks Copycat)

This was my second post of the month – find the recipe here. The lemon loaf at Starbucks has always been a favorite of mine, and this tasted so similar. The pound cake was dense and moist, but also had a great flavor. The glaze on top had an extra punch of lemon, too, that was just so good. If you didn’t already try this one, you must!

3. Sugar Cookie Fruit Pizzas

I love these fruit pizzas so much! Between the sweetness of the sugar cookie, the tanginess in the cream cheese icing, and the tartness in the berries, these cookies are perfectly balanced. I made these as my third post for June, and you can find them here. I need to make these more often, and maybe try it out with other fruits, too!

4. S’mores Cookies

Some may say s’mores are overrated, but I love the combo of chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker. It’s both delicious and nostalgic – the perfect combination. Even though the chocolate was a little overpowering, these s’mores cookies were still delicious. I think next time I will add less chocolate chips so that the marshmallow and graham cracker flavors get a chance to shine. Read the full recipe and review here.

5. Cherry Pie

I made this pie for a post – recipe here – and it was another fiasco. Last time I did cherry pie, I had so much trouble with the crust. This time, it was the filling. When making the filling, I put all of the sugar in to start, instead of just half, so the filling wasn’t thickening the way it’s supposed to. I tried to fix it, but ultimately I would up with a soupy pie. It still tasted good, but is was messy. I was super proud of this crust, though! I didn’t have any trouble with it, and I love how the star pattern turned out.

6. Gluten Free Pineapple Nut Cookies

I made these cookies to give to my dad for Father’s Day because they are one of his favorites. He said he had just been thinking about them, so he was delighted to receive them. He cannot have gluten, so I had to use a gluten free measure for measure flour, instead of regular all-purpose. Sometimes, the gluten free flour can cause baked goods to be more dry, but these still had a nice, soft texture. They have crushed pineapple and chopped pecans, and are actually pretty good.

7. Mom’s Birthday Cake

I cannot tell you how proud I am of this cake! I had never piped flowers on a cake before this, only words and borders, so there is still so much I have to learn and practice when it comes to cake decorating. I was so happy with how this turned out, though. The cake itself was also delicious. It’s the go-to chocolate cake recipe in my family (posted here) and I think it’s the cake I make most often.

8. Patriotic Vanilla Cupcakes

My last post of June was vanilla cupcakes with a vanilla buttercream in red, white, and blue. The recipe is posted here. I love the look of these, though I wish the white frosting popped out a little bit more on some of them. The cupcake recipe is pretty good, but if I’m being honest, they were a touch dry. I think it might be because I over baked them, so I plan to try them again to see if that was it. I’m still taking them to my sister’s for 4th of July, though, so we’ll see what everyone else thinks.

That’s it for June! Like I said, not as much as I have baked the past couple months, but I have been pretty busy with other things. We have a trip in July, so we’ll see how much I wind up baking. It may be about the same as June. However, I plan to bake some things to take with us, so it might wind up being more. Stay tuned for next month’s recap to find out!
